Basilica of St Adalbert

The Basilica of St. Adalbert in Grand Rapids, MI is a Catholic minor basilica known for its Romanesque Revival and Byzantine architecture, dedicated 1913 and elevated to basilica status in 1979 by Pope John Paul II. With Polish immigrants settling in Grand Rapids, the St. Adalbert Aid Society was formed in the mid-nineteenth century to support them as they acclimated to their new lives in Michigan.
