The Basilica of San Albino in Mesilla, NM is a Catholic minor basilica known for its Territorial Revival and Gothic architecture, dedicated 1906 and elevated to basilica status in 2008 by Pope Benedict XVI. After the Mexican-American War, families from northern New Mexico and the El Paso region settled west of the Rio Grande and founded the village of La Mesilla.
