The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Waterbury, CT is a Catholic minor basilica known for its Italian Renaissance Revival architecture, dedicated May 20, 1928 and elevated to basilica status on February 2, 2008, by Pope Benedict XVI. In 1847, the mission purchased an Episcopal church and relocated it to East Main Street, establishing St. Peter’s Parish.
