St. Ann’s Monastery and Shrine Basilica in Scranton, PA is a Catholic minor basilica known for its Romanesque Revival architecture, dedicated April 2, 1929 and elevated to basilica status on October 27, 1997, by Pope John Paul II. In 1927 construction began on a permanent shrine to welcome pilgrims, which was dedicated on April 2, 1929.
