The Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Youngstown, OH is a Catholic minor basilica known for its Italian Renaissance architecture, dedicated December 16, 1923 and elevated to basilica status in 2014 by Pope Francis. By 1908, the pastor of St. Anthony of Padua in the Brier Hill district was leading efforts to build a mission church dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel to serve the growing community.
